Congratulations to First Calgary Savings! As a long-standing client of HireGround, we would like to recognize that on June 16, 2010, First Calgary received the 2010 Leadership in Co-operative Governance Award. Presented by the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA), the award honours co-operatives and credit unions that demonstrate excellence in board governance.
According to the Press Release on First Calgary’s website, adjudicators commended First Calgary’s board for “its enhanced corporate governance reporting through to its 2009 Annual Report, inaugural Corporate Governance report and corporate governance reporting on the corporate website (1stcalgary.com).” The panel praised First Calgary Savings’ innovative efforts to enhance transparency in all levels of its operations.
